Milton
The western gateway to the GTA, Milton is nestled alongside the picturesque Niagara Escarpment at the centre of Halton Region and is home to approximately 22,222.
Due to the close proximity to major highways and the 20-minute drive to Pearson International Airport, Milton has industrialized quickly. GO Trains from Milton provide daily runs to and from Union Station in downtown Toronto. GO Buses connect Milton to the uptown York Mills and Yorkdale subway stations in Toronto.
The town's major shopping centre is the Milton Mall on Ontario Street. There are also several regional malls serving the subdivisions as well as a thriving downtown retail core, featuring a Main Street farmers' market six months of the year.
Milton and its surrounding areas are a golfer's paradise. For more adventurous types, rock climbing, triathlons, horseback riding and BMX facilities can be found right at your doorstep. Pick-your-own farms, historic museums, festivals, art galleries and quaint boutiques are just around the corner. The Village of Campbellville, 10 km west of Milton on Hwy 401, features a collection of art galleries, boutiques, antique and specialty shops.
