East Gwillimbury
East Gwillimbury is located in the northern part of York Region, just 30 minutes north of Toronto, encompassing an area of 238 square kilometres (91.89 square miles). Home to approximately 22,000, it is a balanced area with assets of both an urban and rural appeal.
East Gwillimbury boasts a variety of living environments - fully-serviced urban areas that are the focus of development, semi-serviced suburban areas, rural hamlets, estate subdivisions and rural agricultural land.
Attractions include the Sharon Temple, historic Old Yonge Street and various recreational areas. The Holland River is home to marinas and natural areas including Roger¹s Reservoir. The town consists of a number of growing urban areas and villages including Holland Landing, Mount Albert, River Drive Park, Queensville and Sharon.
Georgina features over 52 kilometres of Lake Simcoe's southeastern shores. This large, clean lake beckons visitors from a vast distance for its great boating and have given Georgina its title of "Ice Fishing Capital of Canada."
