Apartments for rent in Vaughan

Known as the City of Communities, Vaughan’s boundaries include the communities of Maple, Woodbridge, Kleinburg, Thornhill and Concord. Vaughan is one of Canada’s fastest growing communities, with a current population of approximately 182,022.

The City of Vaughan enjoys the best of two worlds. A beautiful living environment with a small town atmosphere, there are at least 300 hectares of parkland and conservation areas here, allowing plenty of opportunity for recreational activity. However, Vaughan also has a largely diversified employment base and over 6,000 businesses. The Globe and Mail’s ³Report On Business² Magazine has rated Vaughan as one of the top five cities for business in Canada.

Vaughan has a wide selection of retail shops and shopping districts including a major regional mall, The Promenade, and The Seven 400 Power Centre. The latter is anchored by big-box retailers and includes Sears, Whole Home, Costco, Home Depot, Business Depot, Michael’s, and Fortino’s. AMC Theatres of Canada have a theatre at Highways 400 and 7 in Concord; one of the largest movie theatres in Canada with 6,300 seats and 30 screens.

Woodbridge is the largest of Vaughan’s communities. With a population over 40,000, it is predominantly an Italian area (73 per cent of residents). An affluent community, Woodbridge benefits from relatively new schools and recreational facilities. As one of the largest and most important commercial centres in the GTA, you’ll find the biggest, best and newest in stores, movie theatres and restaurants. Market Lane, an old fashioned square at the heart of the community, offers over 60 boutiques, specialty shops, and restaurants.

Developed around a waterway, Woodbridge is attractive and family-oriented with newly developed subdivisions with lavish custom-built estates. Maple, home to about 28,700 residents, also predominantly Italian, is perhaps best known as home to Paramount Canada’s Wonderland, one of Canada’s top tourist attractions. Employing over 3,500 seasonal employees and 150 year round, Wonderland features over 50 thrilling rides, a four-hectare water park, and live musical shows.

A community steeped in heritage, many of Maple’s new home neighbourhoods reflect the area’s original Victorian-style village. The historic village of Kleinburg, established in 1848, maintains the atmosphere of early Canadian tradition and architecture. A popular spot for daytrippers, the village is home to the McMichael Canadian Art Collection. Sitting on 41 acres of conservation land, the collection showcases works by Canada’s most famous landscape painters, The Group of Seven, and include works by contemporary First Nation and Inuit Artists.

Open year round, Kleinburg’s Kortright Centre, in the Kortright Conservation area, is Canada’s largest environmental centre, providing over 18 kilometres of trails through woods and park land, and offering public and group 'back to nature' programs.  To view apartments for rent in Vaughan, simply click the links below:
